We would like to sincerely thank the students and teachers of Little Alim’s Academy located in Marietta, Georgia for their donation to Madinah Food Pantry, Inc. to help feed others during this blessed month of Ramadan. The students are PreK level, ages 3, 4 and 5 yr. olds. Their donation helped to feed many families that really need food assistance during this blessed month. Both cooked food and also food packages have been delivered to families throughout metro Atlanta area every day which include the most vulnerable groups (elderly, families with special needs and/or sick family members, refugee families, homeless families and single parent families).
May Allah Subhana wa Ta’Ala bless and reward all of the students, teachers, and parents who helped to initiate this effort, especially now during covid-19 pandemic when so many families are unable to leave their homes and are in dire need of food assistance.
Jazak Allah Khair.
Madinah Food Pantry was able to donate over 200 Ramadan baskets to families in need all over metro Atlanta. These baskets consisted of much needed staple items to assist families with Suhoor and Iftar preparation. May Allah bless all of the donors who helped to make this possible and the volunteers who delivered the baskets to each family.
Ramadan Mubarak to all!

Many thanks to everyone who has donated food items for families and/or monetary donations to help during this time of crisis without hesitation understanding the critical situation so many families are faced with. As quickly as the food is donated, it is sent out to the many families that need it. With each passing day there are more referrals and requests for food assistance and for personal care items (diapers, baby wipes, facial and toilet tissue, soaps, deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, paper towels). We are serving our most vulnerable populations which include the elderly, disabled, refugee families (large families with babies and young children) as well as sisters who are expecting, single parent families and many homeless families. Some of our volunteers have been making deliveries as late as 10 PM in the evenings because of the dire need of families for food assistance. Our deliveries are throughout metro Atlanta and Northeast Georgia so we need as much food donations as possible, In sha’ Allah. Many of the families are very large. Our food packages are all individualized made considering the unique needs of every family due to health concerns, allergies, family size and foods the families most commonly use.
Anyone wishing to donate food items, please let us know and we will arrange a pickup and let you know what is needed most at this time. Rice is always needed (basmati, brown, and white) and flour (all purpose, atta flour and chappati), cooking oil, produce (bananas, onions, potatoes, oranges, apples, tomatoes),sugar and honey, juices and spring water, cereal, oatmeal, sooji and beans (assorted types). Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “On Friday the Angels stand oust the door of the masjid and write down the names of the people in the order in which they enter the mosque for Friday prayer. The first group of people who enter the mosque get the reward equivalent to that of sacrificing a camel, the people who enter the mosque after them get the reward equivalent to that of sacrificing a cow. The people who enter the mosque after them get the reward equivalent to that of sacrificing a ram and the people who follow on likewise get this reward of a Chicken, egg and so on there is a gradation of rewards for the people as they enter. The angels keep writing the names of the people as they enter the mosque until the Imam sits down to give Khutbah. Then the angels collect their registers and sit and listen to the Khutbah.”
